Paul Robinson is the Editor of Secure Computing and has a long track record of writing about security issues and the related solutions. He is a graduate of Manchester University and before entering the world of journalism enjoyed a successful career in teaching. Prior to assuming the editorship of Secure Computing, Paul wrote for many of the top national computer and business magazines, as well as for a number of national and local newspapers. Paul has been working in the field of computer security for longer than practically any other journalist and has certainly been one of the longest serving editors of security-based publications any where in the world. This longevity of service means that he has a very complete understanding of not only the security issues, not only the technology, but also of the people and companies which are delivering security solutions to the marketplace. Paul formed West Coast Publishing Limited for the purpose of publishing Secure Computing magazine and since the company was formed it has launched a number of other publications. West Coast is based in South Wales but has an international clientele distributing its publications to all parts of the world. As a director of the company, Paul has a first-hand familiarity with the sort of problems being faced by businesses large and small, and therefore both in his writing and his public speaking engagements he is able to draw on such first hand experiences. The added dimension that this has given is considerable - few commentators, security experts and specialist journalists have the breadth of experience that Paul is able to draw upon. |
